Equitable Education provides specialist educational consultancy and expertise in closing the gaps for different groups of pupils. We can work with you on the following key areas:
- Accelerating learning outcomes for targeted groups of children and young people in your school or organisation who are currently not performing in line with national expectations.
- Building Leadership capacity within your school or organisation so that meeting the needs of groups of pupils who are currently not performing and attaining in line with national age related expectations are at the forefront of the work you and your team deliver. We do this by working building capacity at senior leadership and middle leadership level, as well as working with key members of your governing body, so that these key colleagues have the requisite skills, understanding and practical skills to make a difference to educational outcomes.
- Improving teaching and Learning across the school or organisation so that the specific needs of different groups of children and young people are addressed by all teachers. Our aim is to work with you to ensure that teaching is of the highest quality and tailored to the needs of your pupils, recognising the fact that disadvantaged pupils can make 1.5 years of learning over a school year with a highly effective teacher compared to 0.5 years learning with a poorly performing teacher. This difference of one year’s worth of learning is critical. We work with you to eliminate the prevalence of in-school variance in the quality of teaching that exists and which can hold back disadvantaged pupils learning even further.
- Implementing effective strategies for parental & carer engagement so that the children and young people’s learning is built upon and reinforced at both home and school. We work with you and your staff to ensure that targeted and proven strategies enable hard to reach parents and carers to be actively engaged with their child’s education, thereby maximising the important role that is played by the home on educational outcomes.
- Providing bespoke tailored approaches for your school or organisation based on your specific needs and requirements rather than using a “one size fits all model”, which fails to appreciate your unique context and circumstances.
- Providing opportunities to benefit from wider school to school support activities focusing on similar areas of priority as yours. These school to school mechanisms can also provide opportunities to share existing best practice, as well as developing specialist networks and capacities across schools and organisations.
