Sameena has a clear understanding of the educational context we all work in and can help schools steer their way to a clearer vision despite the many barriers that come their way. We all need a critical friend at times to help us on our learning journey and narrowing the gaps for all pupils is Sameena's guiding focus. Sameena combines challenge with empathy and provides robust advice and support to leadership competencies strategies for teaching and learning and proven projects that will enhance a schools leadership for diversity. "Sameena has a creative and innovate vision for how educators need to raise standards for all vulnerable groups. We were involved in a number of successful projects that were driven by Sameena - The Maher Project, focusing upon EAL leaners in particular, in Leeds not only raised the aspirations of children and their parents but also inspired teachers to explore and adopt a range of strategies to close the gap in learning."
Narinder Gill, Head Teacher, Hunslet Moor Primary, Leeds
"Working with Sameena on her 'Leadership for Diversity' course was an inspirational and excellent experience. Her knowledge, analytical skills, support, challenge and thought-provoking suggestions all resulted in the schools in our Cluster being able to close the gaps between different vulnerable groups, improve teaching and learning, build leadership capacity and overall enable children to make better progress".
Janet Spence, Head Teacher, Hovingham Primary School, Leeds.
"Sameena worked closely with Bankside Primary - a large, 3 form of entry school, located in the heart of Harehills, in inner city Leeds. Of the 693 pupils, 98.5% are from BME backgrounds and 95.2% speak English as an additional language. Many of the children are eligible for FSM (currently 28%) and all come from homes that are located in areas of multiple deprivation, according to Government 'Super Output' data. With the support of Sameena and her team our school has achieved consistently strong outcomes at KS2 for all our children - both in progress and attainment. Sameena worked tirelessly to organise events and themed programmes of work to support our children's success; in particular her vision for the city-wide 'Maher' project (focussing on raising attainment in Asian-heritage KS2 learners) created brilliant opportunities for them to enjoy a wide variety of learning through writing and oracy. The celebration event that she organised at the Civic Hall, to share the success of this venture, created a further chance for our children to be 'loud and proud' and to air and share their ideas and work in the centre of the busy city of Leeds. Thank you Sameena for all that you have done to ensure that we strive to build equality of opportunity, and to build strong roots for success, for all our children".

"Sameena and her team's insightful work in identifying our school's needs, and supporting us practically with a way ahead, gave a clear route to begin to move from being 'Satisfactory' to 'Good'. She has a clear understanding of the issues which lead to gaps in attainment and how to address these in an effective and sustainable way."
