Equitable Education works with a range of schools and educational organisations to provide capacity building, training and consultancy services for target groups of pupils for whom closing the gap is an issue.
We work with the following partner schools and settings, as well as other educational organisations listed below:

- Trusts,
- Free schools,
- Independent schools.
We have listed a range of packages of support that may be of interest to schools and education settings in our Services section. However, please note these are only a few of the services we offer and if you have something specific in mind pertaining to closing the educational gaps for target groups of pupil’s that is not listed, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss these requirements further. Other educational organisations
Local Authorities - We can review your current strategy for Closing the Gaps either for specific groups of pupils, or across all groups of pupils for whom closing the gap is an issue. We work with LA’s to develop a forward strategy within the current educational context, so that you fulfil your role as champion of social justice effectively. Building effective partnerships with both outstanding system leaders in your LA, as well as leaders of schools requiring additional capacity is seen as key to developing the LA forward strategy for closing the gaps. The strategy will then utilise school to school support and system leadership to build capacity within the LA and drive forward improvements in identified priority areas. Where expertise does not already exist within a particular LA we can work with you and broker and commission support from other system leaders and schools outside of the immediate locality.
Teaching Schools – We provide facilitation and develop CPD opportunities for Heads, Senior Leaders and Middle Leaders including Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE’s), in key areas pertaining to target groups of pupils for whom closing the gaps is an issue. We also provide expertise in the specific skills required to address the issues facing schools in challenging circumstances and serving diverse communities. We can also provide expertise to Training Schools in developing bespoke CPD opportunities and programmes specifically aimed at targeted Closing the Gap groups of pupils which have been identified as priorities within a locality or amongst a Teaching Alliance.
Schools involved in Schools Direct Training Programme and Schools Direct Training Programme (Salaried) who train graduates on these programmes. We can provide CPD opportunities, mentoring and coaching for trainees on these school based programmes. Graduates on these programmes will become familiar in effective teaching strategies for specific targeted closing the gap groups of pupils, as well develop their relevant personal and professional conduct areas as required by the new Teachers Standards.
Higher Education, particularly in relation to support and development for trainee teachers on undergraduate BEd courses or graduates on PGCE’s. We provide CPD opportunities, mentoring and coaching as required for these students so they are well prepared to teach and meet the needs of targeted groups of pupils for whom closing the gap is an issue. They will also be able to meet the relevant teaching and personal & professional conduct areas of the new Teaching Standards.
FE and Higher Education. We can work with you as partners on research projects or action research pertaining to Closing the Gaps for target groups of pupils.
Educational charitable organisations working with disadvantaged and targeted children and families. We can work with you in a flexible manner to address your organisations specific needs and aims.
